Meyer Plow Mounting Carton Information
EZ Plus / MDII
EZ Plus replaced the MDII, and is slightly different though they share Mounting Cartons. The Mounting Carton is used to attach the EZ Plus or MDII Universal Clevis to the vehicle frame. The Universal Clevis is NOT part of any Mounting Carton. The Universal Clevis must match the Lift Frame, ie; EZ Plus Universal Clevis to EZ Plus Lift Frame, and MDII Universal Clevis to MDII Lift Frame. 10 years ago when we had to assemble new plows, we had to order the Universal Clevis and Lift Frame which were sold together and called the CLF (Clevis Lift Frame). Up until the Standard Operating System (SOS) came out, the only vehicle specific parts of the plow system were the Mounting Carton and Headlight Adapter. The entire rest of the system was universal.
The link in the part# column is a direct link to eBay
to search for that specific Mounting Carton. Why? Because that is where you
will find the best price on new and used, and instead of hoping you will find
the part on Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace, you are searching the WORLD for
the part you need. The Install Instructions column
is a direct link to the Install Instructions on the Meyer web site where all
files are in .pdf format FREE for download. There are hardware lists and
diagrams for each Mounting Carton so you can see what is included and what you
are getting yourself into if you want to install it yourself. Install
Instructions have names such as "1-1128R.pdf", etc.. Keep in mind some
of these are scarce because there was and is little demand for them. Some are
obsolete becuase they have been replaced with a new part# that is backwards
compatible, but you may find the original here on eBay.
